Bulk Export Google Workspace Users Aliases with GW Manager

Export Users Aliases

Welcome to GW Manager.

In this video, I will show you how you can export Google Workspace user aliases in Google Sheet with GW Manager.

You'll go to extensions, here, you should see GW Manager.

If you need help with the installation, please visit our GW Manager Installation guide here.

Click on launch and it'll launch GW manager in the sidebar.

Install and Launch GW Manager - google sheets add-on for google workspace admins

First, you'll need to insert a sheet where user aliases will be exported, and you have two choices for that.

Either you can go to manage utilities, and click on insert all sheets, execute, and it'll insert all the sheets at once, so that you can deal with any of these features.

For now, I just need to export user aliases. So I will go to "manage user aliases", and explicitly create an export user aliases sheet by clicking on Execute.

Insert Export User Aliases sheet in GW Manager

This will let GW manager insert only this sheet.

It is asking me for the user's primary email  address because it has an asterisk.

I've copied some information, so I'll paste it here, If you need to export user aliases for all the users in your domain, I would recommend you to run users export function first, so that you can get an export of all the users in your domain and then copy the primary email address column and paste it under user aliases export.

Enter details of users whose aliases you want to export

Once you have the required information, click run "export user aliases", execute.

Click "Execute" in GW Manager to initiate User Aliases export

At this time, GW Manager will let you know which user aliases are present in your Google workspace for given users.

For the users who do not have any alias, it says no user alias found, and it gives you the aliases for the users that might have an alias.

GW Manager confirms successful export of User Aliases

For example, Jake has two user aliases, Jake dot new, and Jake, and we can confirm that if you go to Jake profile in the admin console, do a quick reload, go to user information.

Here we see that Jake has two aliases.
